WinnDevelopment partnered with Soldier On to create a one-of-a-kind housing community dedicated to serving veterans of the US Armed Services, and called on us to create a new logo and visual system that pays homage to the community’s namesake, Gordon H. Mansfield – a highly decorated Army Veteran and former Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs. We were tasked with incorporating Gordon H. Mansfield’s likeness into the logo – as captured in a commemorative plaque – in a way that ensured that it was both true to life and modern. We created a hand illustrated likeness, within a vibrant and patriotic color palette with subtle stars and stripe elements to honor the past and celebrate a hopeful future. We were honored to celebrate Gordon H. Mansfield’s legacy, and to help tell the story of a place where veterans are reclaiming their place in the community while bringing meaning and dignity back to their lives.
